RESEARCH

My research areas are Healthcare and Humanitarian Operations. My Healthcare research includes models for specialist workflow decisions in rural hospitals, the design of a rural network of dialysis facilities, and Emergency Department (ED) patient flow. My research in Humanitarian Operations includes a teaching innovation called the Disaster Response Game, hospital surge capacity planning, and vaccine distribution models for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic or another virus outbreak.
